NA endorses nominations for its thematic committees



KATHMANDU: A session of the National Assembly (NA) on Thursday endorsed the nomination of members to various thematic committees functioning as the subordinate bodies of the upper house.

Prior to this, NA Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina proposed the name list before the meeting for endorsement.

The meeting passed the nomination of Kamala Devi Panta, Krishna Prasad Poudel, Narayan Prasad Dahal, Tul Prasad Bishwakarma and Sonam Geljen Sherpa as members on the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee.

Likewise, Narayan Dutta Mishra, Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar, Suresh Kumar Alemagar and Uday Bahadur Bohara have been nominated the member of the Legislation Management Committee.

The names of Yubaraj Sharma, Gopal Kumar Basnet, Urmila Aryal, Goma Devi Timilsina, Madan Kumari Shah (Garima), Nar Bahadur Bist and Mohammed Khalid have been endorsed for the Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee.

Durga Gurung, Jagat Bahadur Parki, Jayanti Devi Rai and Rajendra Laxmi Gaire have been nominated on the National Concerns and Coordination Committee.

The meeting decided to send Khimlal Bhattarai to the Parliamentary Hearing Committee and Anita Devkota, Devendra Dahal and Gopi Bahadur Sarki (Achhami) to the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee for the Directive Principles, Polices and Responsibilities of the State.
