NC leader Rana Deuba wishes victory for party’s Kathmandu mayoral candidate Singh



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Arzu Rana Deuba has wished the party’s Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) mayoral candidate Srijana Singh for her victory.

Leader Singh filed her nomination papers with the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer at City Hall in Exhibition Road, Kathmandu, on Monday, on behalf of the electoral alliance among ruling coalition for local level election slated for May 13.

Extending support to another female leader of the NC, Rana wished Singh best wishes in advance at a women’s meet-and-greet program held in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Rana congratulated Singh in advance for the post of mayor of the metropolis.

Leader Rana reminded that the metropolis could witness tangible transformation only through women leadership, referring to Singh’s candidature for mayoral post in the metropolis.

On the occasion, incumbent Deputy Mayor of KMC Hari Prabha Khadgi said development was possible when the city was lead by a woman.

Stating that every woman in Kathmandu could relate with Singh’s candidature in the leadership position, she expressed confidence that the problems of women would be solved.
