One killed in accident



KATHMANDU: A person died and another was injured when a tipper hit a scooter at Madhyapurthimi municipality in the Bhaktapur on the Kathmandu-Arniko highway section.

The tipper (Ba 4 Kha 8581) heading towards the Korean Hospital from Nayathimi hit the scooter (Bapra 02-023P 7769) coming from Gattaghar this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Gyanendra Malla Thakuri of Kavrepalanchowk.

Likewise, 33-year-old Bimal Shrestha, a resident of Changunarayan Municipality-3, Jhaukhel, has been seriously injured in the accident.

He is undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Hospital.

Police have arrested Tul Bahadur Sapkota, 36, of Ramechhap Doramba Rural Municipality-4, currently living in Siddhikali of Madhyapurthimi for necessary investigation.
