Security stepped up in Parsa in view of local election

PARSA: In view of the May 13 local election, Parsa Armed Police Force has stepped up security at all transits in Parsa district with neighboring India.

The security tightening aims to control cross-border criminal activities and smuggling of illegal things, said chief of APF No 13 battalion, Kamal Timilsina.

“All APF sub ordinate bodies have been mobilized at the transits. Security has been maintained at the transits by fully utilizing limited resources and workforce,” said APF Superintendent, Tej Prasad Pokharel.

There are five security base camps, 17 border outposts and three forward operating bases in the district under the battalion.
