With Dipendra’s first century, Nepal sets a target of 279 runs against PNG



KATHMANDU: In the second match of the ODI cricket series, Nepal gave a target of 279 runs to Papua New Guinea PNG.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Nepal scored 278 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated overs.

For Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee added 105 runs, Dev Khanal 72, Rohit Poudel 35, Bhim Sarki 26 and captain Sandeep Lamichhane 24 not out.

Similarly, Anil Shah added 1 run, Arif Sheikh added 4 runs, Sompal Kami added 3 runs and Anil Shah added 1 run. Kushal Bhurtel and Pawan Sharaf were out for zero runs.

Dipendra contributed 105 runs off 140 balls with seven fours. This is Dipendra’s first century for Nepal.

Along with this, Dipendra has become the third cricketer to complete an international century for Nepal in a one-day series.

Likewise, Dev hit 3 sixes and 4 fours in 86 balls and contributed 72 runs. This is Dev’s first half century for Nepal.
