KATHMANDU: Nepal is batting against Papua New Guinea (PNG) after winning the toss in the second cricket match of the ODI series underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

In the first match held on Friday, Nepal had elected to field first. In the match Nepal had suffered a six-run defeat at the hands of PNG.

In the playing 11,  Kushal Bhurtel, Anil Sah, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Deependra Airee, Pawan Sarraf, Gulshan Jha, Aarif Sheikh, Dev Khanal, Bhim Sarki and Rohit Paudel.

Since Nepal lost yesterday’s match, it is under pressure to win today’s match to defend the series.

PNG came to Nepal after participating in tri-series under the ICC Cricket League 2.

Nepal had defeated PNG in both the matches. In the first match, Nepal defeated PNG by two wickets and in the second match by seven wickets.
