Nepali politics will see new polarization soon: UML leader Badal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has said that Nepali politics will see a new polarization soon.

Addressing a Karnali Province-level training program organized by the CPN-UML in Birendranagar on Saturday, he claimed that the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) would lead to a new polarization in national politics.

‘This is an alliance of opportunists formed by vested interests; the opportunists were hell-bent to isolate the UML. Now due to MCC, the alliance will collapse within a day or two and there will be new polarization in the national politics,” said the UML vice chair.

UML leader ‘Badal’ termed the current ruling coalition as a reactionary and opportunistic entity. Stating that prosperity of Nepal was only possible under the leadership of UML, he instructed the party cadres to start preparations to bring an overwhelming majority in the election.
