Nepal sees 155 new coronavirus cases, two death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 27 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 155 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 101 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 54 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 20 cases in Kathmandu, one in Bhaktapur and six cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 27 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,934 to date.

Currently, there are 8,839 active cases in the country as 540 infected patients recovered.
