 Ruling coalition likely to split due to MCC, says Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has said that the ruling coalition is likely to split due to the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Prachanda said his party is making a last-ditch effort to save the existing ruling coalition to hold back possible regressive forces.

Speaking at a program organized at the central party headquarters in Paris Danda to commemorate martyr Dil Bahadur Ramtel, Prachanda claimed that the ruling coalition is a must to safeguard nationality, constitution and democracy.

He further said that the MCC does not feature in the minimum common program of the government formed by the ruling coalition.
