CK Raut’s cadres vandalize Mayor’s vehicle in Sarlahi

JANAKPURDHAM: Janamat Party cadres have vandalized the vehicle of the mayor and deputy mayor of Hariwan Municipality of Sarlahi on Wednesday morning.

The cadres vandalized the vehicle heading towards the polling station. Mayor Ganesh Prasai has been injured.

CK Raut’s cadres, who had been protesting with sticks since this morning, vandalized a government vehicle (Pradesh-2-03 00905 0020).

Mayor Ganesh Prasai was injured in the attack. Deputy Mayor Renuka Poudel, who was also in the car, is safe.

Raut’s cadres have been protesting at various places in Janakpur since this morning demanding the government to provide fertilizers before casting votes in the National Assembly election.

The cadres also clashed with the police in Janakpur, Dhanusha on Wednesday.

The clash erupted as Raut’s supporters tried to enter the polling station at the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Pratisthan, Janakpur Wednesday morning.

Police also fired two rounds of tear gas to disperse the protesters.
