President appoints Prachanda as PM

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as the Prime Minister. Prachanda was appointed the PM as per Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, the President stated issuing a note a while ago. This is the third time Chairman Dahal has become the Prime Minister.

Ministry of Health alerts against new variant of coronavirus

The Ministry of Health and Population has appealed to the general public to be aware of the new variant BF-7 of the coronavirus. The ministry issued a press release today asserting that although the new variant of Covid-19 has not been confirmed in Nepal so far, due to its growing influence in neighboring countries, there is a need to be alert in Nepal as well.

Singha Durbar to have high-capacity charging stations
