UML electing Province 1 Parliamentary Party leader



BIRATNAGAR: CPN-UML is electing the leader of the Parliamentary Party in Province 1 today.

Rewati Raman Bhandari, a Member of the State Assembly, said that a meeting of the newly-elected MPs has been called at 1 pm.

The Secretariat of the State Assembly has decided on the agenda for administering the oath to the newly-elected members of the State Assembly on Monday.

Before the oath, UML has called a meeting to choose the leader of the parliamentary party.

UML, the largest party in the Province 1 State Assembly, has 40 MPs.

It is likely that UML will elect Hikmat Karki, a member of the standing committee, as the leader of the parliamentary party.
