PR vote count: UML leading followed by NC and RSP



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes cast under the Proportional Representation (PR) system in the election to the member of the House of Representatives is underway.

The voting was held on November 20.

According to the count updates made available by the Election Commission till this afternoon, the CPN-UML is leading the tally and it has received 1348,705 votes so far.

The Nepali Congress (NC) is in the second position with 127,6220 votes followed by Rastriya Swatantra Party with 617,655.

Similarly, the Maoist Centre has secured 580,636 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has obtained 318,591 so far.

Likewise, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal has got 156,736 votes; 106,484 by Unified Socialist; 101,570 by Nagarik Unmukti Party; and 63,113 by Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, according to the EC.
