PR vote count: UML leading followed by NC and RSP



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes cast under the Proportional Representation (PR) system in the election to the member of the House of Representatives is underway.

The voting was held on November 20.

According to the count updates made available by the Election Commission till this afternoon, the CPN-UML is leading the tally and it has received 119,9573 votes so far.

The Nepali Congress (NC) is in the second position with 113,8822 votes followed by Rastriya Swatantra Party with 558,614.

Similarly, the Maoist Centre has secured 518,450 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has obtained 294,191 so far.

Likewise, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal has got 145,088 votes; 90,867 by Unified Socialist; 81,335 by Janamat Party; 84,729 by Nagarik Unmukti Party; and 58,618 by Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, according to the EC.
