PR vote count: UML leading followed by NC and RSP



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes cast under the Proportional Representation (PR) system in the election to the member of the House of Representatives is underway.

The voting was held on November 20.

According to the count updates made available by the Election Commission till this afternoon, the CPN-UML is leading the tally and it has received 1,121,221 votes so far.

The Nepali Congress (NC) is in second position with 1,063,957 votes followed by Rastriya Swatantra Party with 531,520.

Similarly, the Maoist Centre has secured 486,091 votes while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has obtained 280,105 so far.

Likewise, Janata Samahbadi Party Nepal has got 131,810 votes; 80,302 by Unified Socialist; 80,232 by Janamat Party; 79,752 by Nagarik Unmukti Party; 57,770 by Nepal Workers and Peasants Party; 56,221 by Loktantrik Samajbadi Party; 33,419 by Hamro Nepali Party, and 30,062 by Rastriya Janamorcha, according to the EC.
