Salary, benefits of chief minister, ministers increases in Madhes Province



JANAKPURDHAM: Madhes Province government has increased salary and benefits of chief minister, ministers and province assembly members.

New salary-scale has been published in province gazette on August 21 as per the cabinet decision held on August 8.

Salary of chief minister, ministers, officials of province assembly, province assembly members, vice-chair and members of province policy commission has been increased by Rs 2,000 each.

Now, the salary of the chief minister of Madhes Province is Rs 62,960 per month.

Similarly, amount of petroleum products provided to chief minister, ministers, province assembly members has also been increased.

With this, the chief minister would get 300 litre of fuel per month for each vehicle while it was 300 litres of petroleum products in total per month earlier.

Secretary at the Office of the Chief Minister, Shivanath Poudel, said slight changes have been made in salary, service and facility of all considering the market inflation.
