Nepal sees 568 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 568 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 453 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 115 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,800 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 3,084 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,716 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,534 active cases in the country as 95 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One COVID-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country becomes 11,957 to date.
