India’s first tribal president Droupadi Murmu taking oath today



NEW DELHI: President-elect Droupadi Murmu will take oath as the 15th President of India today.

The ceremony of assumption of office will take place in the Central Hall of Parliament.

Droupadi Murmu will take the oath of office in the presence of the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana.

Droupadi Murmu will reach Rashtrapati Bhawan at around 09:22 am.

Droupadi Murmu will be escorted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to the Central Hall.
