UML widens lead in Tulsipur Sub Metropolis



DANG: The ruling coalition has fallen behind in Tulsipur Sub Metropolitan City of the Dang district.

CPN-UML’s Tikaram Khadka has made a wide margin by leading the alliance’s mayoral candidate Gehend Giri.

While 71,166 votes were counted, Khadka of UML got 30,035 votes.

Giri, the NC candidate for mayor backed by the ruling coalition, has received 26,669 votes. Khadka is leading Giri with 3,366 votes.

Similarly, for the post of deputy mayor, UML’s Syani Chaudhari got 29,345 votes while Jog Bahadur Rana of CPN (Unified Socialist) got 20,144 votes. Chaudhari is leading Rana by a margin of 9,201 votes.
