Independent candidate Balen maintains lead for KMC mayor

Balen: 52,574, Sirjana: 33,069, Sthapit: 32,612



KATHMANDU: The counting of votes is underway in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

According to the latest vote count updates, independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah has maintained his lead. He has received 52,574 votes.

Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Sirjana Singh is in second place with 33,069 votes.

Balen has a lead of 19,505 votes over Singh.

Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit is trailing behind with 32,612 votes.
