To take final call on seat-sharing

KATHMANDU: The top-notch leaders affiliated to the five-party ruling alliance are holding a meeting today.

The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 8 am, informed the secretariat of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The meeting will take a final decision on the distribution of posts especially in the municipalities and rural municipalities. Since today is the final day to register nomination letters for the upcoming local level elections, the final decision regarding distribution of seats will be taken during the meeting.

Decisions will also be taken on the disputes that have cropped up in the remaining municipalities and rural municipalities at the local level, the sources have said.

Earlier, a meeting of the coalition leaders was held in Baluwatar on Sunday evening. It decided not to form an electoral alliance with any parties outside the ruling alliance.
