Chinese Foreign Minister Yi to come Kathmandu two hours earlier



KATHMANDU: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to land in Kathmandu from New Delhi two hours ahead of schedule on Friday.

Earlier, he was scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at around 6 o’clock. A Foreign Ministry source said the Chinese Foreign Minister’s chartered flight would arrive in Kathmandu two hours earlier.

Flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport will be affected for some time when Yi’s aircraft arrives.

Yi is not scheduled to hold any political meetings today.

The Chinese Foreign Minister is currently in New Delhi, the capital of India. Yi arrived in Kabul on Thursday evening for a previously undisclosed visit by both sides.

In New Delhi, he met his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar.

Yi is scheduled to have formal meetings in Nepal on Saturday.
