Hubby strikes wife to death



KATHMANDU: A man has killed his wife by striking her with a cudgel at Chunnikhel in Budhanilkantha municipality-13.

Bhakta Bahadur Thapa, 21, of Udayapur, currently staying at Chunnikhel struck his wife Laxmi Tamang, 24, to death over a minor dispute.

According to SP Dinesh Raj Mainali of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, the husband killed his wife by hitting her with a cudgel.

Critically injured Laxmi, who was rushed to hospital after rescue, breathed her last in the course of treatment.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the assailant into custody of Metropolitan Police Sector, Budhanilkantha.
