Nepal sees 275 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 54 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 275 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Friday. Nepal recorded 312 new coronavirus cases and two deaths on Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 158 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 117 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 44 cases in Kathmandu, three in Bhaktapur and seven cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 54 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,932 to date.

Currently, there are 9,280 active cases in the country as 555 infected patients recovered.
