JSP holding CEC meeting on MCC today

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is holding its central executive committee (CEC) meeting in the Kathmandu Valley today.

JSP, one of the ruling coalition partners, has not yet taken an official decision on the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
The meeting is taking place at central party office in Balkumari at 11 am today.

The meeting will dwell on the MCC and come up with an official view on it among other contemporary issues, said JSP.

“Today’s meeting will hold discussions on the MCC, local level elections, party’s statute convention among other contemporary issues,” said Central Executive Committee member Prashanta Singh.

Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai is in favor of endorsing the MCC while Chairman Upendra Yadav is against it.
