Maoist Center leader Pun meets with party chair Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) leader Barsha Man Pun, who returned home after a treatment abroad, has met with party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda at the latter’s residence in Khumaltar on Tuesday morning.

Pun along with his wife former Speaker Onsari Gharti, reached Khumaltar to meet with Prachanda this morning, said Santosh Pun, Pun’s personal aide.

Pun, upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, had staked a claim for the post of General Secretary.
Chairman Prachanda welcomed Pun to his house and wished him good health and full recovery.

The eight general convention of the Maoist Center held recently elected the central committee and the chairman. Now, it has to elect officer-bearers of the party.

Leader Janardan Sharma and Pun have been staking a claim for the post of general secretary which is considered the most powerful after the post of chairman.
