SURKHET: Purna Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Surkhet-1.

Khadka won garnering 42,607 votes while his closest competitor Dhruba Kumar Shahi of CPN-UML got 30,988 votes.
