KATHMANDU: Counting of votes of the election to the Province Assembly (PA) Member at various PA electoral constituencies in different districts is underway.

In Lamjung, Nepali Congress district president Dr Takaraj Gurung who was in the election race on behalf of the ruling alliance from the Province Assembly (1) has emerged victiours.

He secured 18,504 votes against 17,343 of his neareast rival Jamindraman Ghale from the CPN (UML).

In Saptari-1, Janamat Party’s Mohammad Sakila Miya has won the election towards the Province Assembly (2) by obtaining 16,160 votes to beat Janata Samajbadi Party’s Sudambar Yadav who finished the race with 9,888.

In Kalikot Province Assembly (1), CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Durga Bahadur Rawat has emerged victorious with 9,011 votes against 7,952 by Kurma Raj Shahi of the CPN (UML).

In Banke-3, Nepali Congress candidate Badshah Kurmi has won the election towards the Province Assembly (2).

He received 13,433 votes against 10,950 by his nearest competitor Bhim Oli from the CPN (UML).

In Dailekh-2, CPN (UML)’s Binod Kumar Shah has won a seat from the Province Assembly (1) with 9,464 votes against 9,381 by his closet competitor Yogendra Bahadur Shahi of the CPN (Maoist Centre).

The vote difference between two is 86. In Rupandehi-2, CPN (UML) candidate Leela Giri has won the election towards the Province Assembly (1) with 17,632 against 14,998 by Dirgha Bahadur KC of the Nepali Congress.

In Dang-2, Nepali Congress candidate Prachanda Bikram Neupane (Guntu) has emerged victorious towards the Province Assembly (2) with 17,822 votes against 16,699 by Giriraj KC of the CPN (UML).

In Kanchanpur-3, CPN (Unified Socialist’s) Prakash Rawal has won the election towards the Province Assembly (1) with 8,718 against 6,858 by Dharmaraj Joshi of Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

In Taplejung Province Assembly (2), Khagen Singh Hangam of the Nepali Congress has been elected with 1,0496 against 9,248 by Gopal Thopra of the CPN (UML).

In Bhaktapur-1, Kiran Thapa of CPN (UML) has been elected to the Province Assembly (1) with 15,118 votes against 11,933 by Bishnu Raj Karki of the Nepali Congress who was the common candidate from the ruling alliance.

Similarly, Dr Rajendra Man Shretha of CPN ( Unified Socialist) has emerged victorious towards the Province Assembly ( 2) with 8,311 against 8,031 by Chandan Krishna Shrestha of the CPN (UML).

In Kathmandu-5, Nepali Congress candidate Shyam Bahadur Khadka was been elected to the Province Assembly (2) by obtaining 9,731 votes against 8,405 by Deepak Niraula of CPN (UML).

In Dhanusha-3, Ram Saroj Yadav of Nepali Congress has been re-elected to the Province Assembly (1) with 17,029 against 13,459 by Jitendra Kumar Yadav of the Janata Samajbadi Party.

In Chitwan-2, Krishna Prasad Silwal of CPN (UML) has been elected to the Province Assembly (1) with 16,500 votes against 15,260 by Ghanashyam Dahal of the ruling alliance.

Similarly, in Chitwan-3, Gir Bahadur Tamang of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has been emerged victorious towards the Province Assembly (1) with 17,813 against 14,956 by Dr Surya Kant Ghimire of Nepali Congress, the common candidate of the ruling alliance.
