Vote count update: NC wins 28 seats; UML 16 and Maoist 8



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is still leading as the counting of votes is underway throughout the country.

In the initial vote count of the election held on Sunday, Nepali Congress (NC) has taken the lead followed by CPN-UML so far.

Till now, NC has won in 28 constituencies and the UML in 16 constituencies.

As of now, NC is still leading in 26 constituencies followed by UML, which is leading in 30 constituencies.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which has already won six seats, is leading in three constituencies.

Likewise, the Unified Socialist Party led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has won seven seats and is leading in three constituencies.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has won two seats and is leading in four constituencies so far.

The Prachanda-led Maoist Center has won eight seats and leading in nine constituencies.
