Kamal Thapa concedes defeat



HETAUDA: Chairman of RPP Nepal, Kamal Thapa, who contested the House of Representatives election with the CPN-UML election symbol “sun”, has conceded his defeat.

Mahalakshmi Upadhyay (Dina) of Nepali Congress, who contested the election from Makwanpur Constituency-1, is leading.

She has garnered 20,970 votes while Thapa got 19,918 votes.

Taking to social media, Thapa said he conceded defeat.

Thapa also thanked CPN-UML for giving him the opportunity to contest the elections with the sun symbol.
