Coalition govt preparing to rig Nov 20 elections: UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the incumbent coalition government of preparing to rig the November 20 elections.

Addressing a party induction program held at Tinkauriya Chowk in Bideha Municipality of Dhanusha on Saturday, he charged that the government was transferring police personnel and civil servants not supporting the ruling coalition.

“The government is preparing to deceive everywhere. If the coalition government perceives that any policeman or government employee will not support it, they will be transferred. Policemen from this muncipality have also been transferred. Employees have been transferred,” Oli said.

“If the coalition thinks that somebody is not subservient to them, then they are being transferred.”

He added, “This is an undemocratic, dictatorial, arbitrary and corrupt government.”

Saying that the government was exhibiting tendency to lead the country towards violence and undemocratic ways, Oli warned it to be aware of the presence of the UML.

On the occasion, outgoing lawmakers Umashankar Argariya, Amrita Agrahari and other leaders of the Loktrantrik Samajbadi Party joined the UML.

UML Chair Oli assured the new entrants that they would not have to regret their decision of joining his party.
