Rs 10 million allocated to build media village in Bagmati Province



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Pandey shared that the provincial government had allocated Rs 10 million to build Media Village.

Inaugurating the Samajwadi Press Sangathan Nepal’s Bagmati and Kathmandu Valley’s joint assembly in Kathmandu on Saturday, CM Pandey informed that the government had considered exemption in renewal of all media within the Province to develop and promote media.

Pandey viewed that the journalists should be active in reducing corruption and maintaining good-governance.

Similarly, CPN Unified Socialist Deputy General Secretary Jangannath Khatiwada asserted that the media sector should represent the incidents occurring in the society in a realistic and impartial way.

Khatiwada, also chief of the party’s Central Publicity Department, viewed the media persons should be sensitive towards social transformation.

Likewise, Federation of Nepalese Journalists’ Secretary Govinda Chaulagain expressed his concern over facilities provided to working journalists were being slashed.

Senior journalist Kishore Nepal, vice-chairperson of the Socialist Press Organization Bishwamani Subedi among others underscored the implementation of proportional advertisement system.

The Committee will form some committees and designate the office-bearers for their responsibilities.
