KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that a new type of people’s war is necessary to establish socialism in the country.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, the Maoist Center Chair said that the old type of people’s war is no longer possible and a new type of people’s war is necessary for the introduction and constructive development of socialism.
“The traditional people’s war is not possible now. For socialism, a new type of people’s war is necessary,” Prachanda said, adding, “We have to discover a new model of socialism for the 21st century.”
Talking about the impact of the victory in elections, he said that more than the number of seats, the contribution to be made in the implementation of the Constitution is important.
“We should be able to give a new model of prosperity. We have a dream of handing over a prosperous Nepal and giving a new model of development by next decade,” Chairman Prachanda said.
He confessed that his attempts to bring substantive changes in the country by uniting the leftist forces including CPN-UML had not been successful before.
