NEPSE rises by 2.87 points on Wednesday

Witnesses a turnover above Rs 1.5 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has seen modest single-digit gains of 2.87 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

The stock market index NEPSE increased by 0.14 percent and closed at 2057.85 points.

Although there was a general improvement in NEPSE, there was not much excitement in the transaction amount.

NEPSE which traded above Rs 2 billion on Sunday, Rs 1.73 billion on Monday and Rs 1.33 billion on Tuesday witnessed a slight rise on Wednesday; the transaction amount exceeded worth Rs one and a half billion.

On Wednesday, 3,678,705 shares were bought and sold in NEPSE, with a turnover of 1.52 rupees.

Out of the Wednesday turnover, Arun Kaveli Power has a turnover worth Rs 169.26 million, while API Power has a turnover worth Rs 80.82 million.

Among those traded on Tuesday, the share price of Mandakini Hydropower increased by 10 percent and the share price of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company increased by 9.99 percent and closed at the circuit level.
