Six dead, 16 injured in bus accident in Palpa



PALPA: Six passengers died in a bus accident in Palpa on Sunday.

A bus with number 1 J 5952 en route Butwal from Gulmi met with an accident at Laguwa, Ribdikot Rural Municipality-2 of Palpa around 5 pm today.

According to Inspector Bir Dutt Pant of Lumbini Province Police Office, three women and three men died on the spot in the accident.

16 others injured in the accident have been taken to Tansen Hospital for treatment.

Police said that the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained and the rescue of the injured was underway.
