Over 150 youths arrested on charge of fraud in Butwal



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested over 150 youths, including seven operators of Blue Sky call center, on charge of fraud from Rupandehi’s Tilottama Municipality-2 on Sunday.

The arrests came following a raid at Blue Sky call center.

According to the police, the call center was found cheating commoners through various means. The office had rented 3 flats in Jankinagar for the purpose.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Thug Bahadur KC said police investigation showed that employees were sending fake promotional messages, obscene contents, and thereby, cheating people from the office. The office had been set up with the investment of foreign citizens.

The arrested youths are said to be office employees. The arrested said that they came to work at the office through an organization called Job Link.
