We have fulfilled our commitment by passing the Citizenship Bill: Prachanda



SARLAHI- CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he has fulfilled his commitment by passing the Citizenship Bill from the House of Representatives (HoR).

Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda, who arrived in Bagmati to address the public meeting and party entry program organized by the party in Sarlahi on Saturday, said this.

He mentioned that he has fulfilled his commitment to solving the citizenship-related problem by passing the citizenship amendment bill from the HoR on Friday.

“We said that the citizenship bill will be passed in this session of parliament. We took a bold decision to resolve the citizenship-related issue that had earlier deprived around 700 thousand Nepali youths of the citizenship of the country,” he said.

He claimed that this once again confirmed that the Maoist center is the party working for the general public.

However, some Maoist Center leaders including Narayan Kaji Shrestha have objected to the party’s decision to pass the citizenship amendment bill.
