HoR meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting is taking place at 1 pm today.

The meeting is likely to pass the Prison Bill 2078 today.

Home Minister Balkrishna Khand is scheduled to present a proposal to discuss and pass the Prison Bill 2076 with the report of the State Order and Good Governance Committee.

The bill prepared by the government to give reproductive rights to prisoners was previously registered in Parliament in 2076 BS.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered that it is the responsibility of the state to protect reproductive rights and that reproductive rights should not be denied to anyone.

Similarly, the chairman of the health committee, Jaipuri Gharti, has an agenda to submit the report 2079 of the education and health committee regarding the Yogamaya Ayurveda University Bill.
