Nepal sees 43 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 43 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 32 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 11 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,555 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,852 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,703 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 181 active cases in the country as 14 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
