NEPSE witnesses promising bounce back Sunday

Stock market goes up by 95.52 points



KATHMANDU: The stock market, which has been continuously declining, has witnessed a promising bounce back on Sunday.

Today, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 95.52 points taking the stock market index to 2420.96.

The transaction amount also increased by Rs 2.5 billion on Sunday.

The stock market witnessed greenery in all groups after a long interval.

On this day, the finance group has risen the most by 8.6 percent followed by the hydropower group 7.32 percent banking group at 2.68 percent, business group at 1.05 percent, hotel and tourism group at 2.83 percent, development bank group at 6.57 percent, and non-life insurance group 4.13 percent.

Out of the 238 companies listed on NEPSE, 66,039,504 shares have been bought and sold today. Sunday’s transaction amount has been Rs 2.53 billion.

The share prices of 27 companies entertained a positive circuit today. Out of them, the share price of 10 hydropower companies increased by 10 percent and the share price of other 17 companies increased by nearly 10 percent.

Today, the shareholders of NESDO Sambriddhi Microfinance lost the most today. The share price of this microfinance dropped by an average of 3 percent on Sunday.
