Medical equipment worth Rs 10 million provided to Surkhet Community Eye Hospital



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) has donated various medical equipment worth Rs 10 million to Surkhet Community Eye Hospital.

An international organization CBM, Germany and Australia funded to purchase the medical equipment, including a pictometry, an A-scan ultrasound biometry, an auto ageing machine, laboratory aids, optical low-vision aids, a Humphrey Visual Field Analyser and an auto refractometer, aong others.

Cooperation with various organizations was underway to expand and upgrade services provided by the hospital, said Man Bahadur Kunwar, the Sangh Chief in Karnali Province.

“The NNJS has been providing technical assistance to run eye camps here and it will continue assistances in this regard in the days to come. The cases of cataract are found to have been increased,” he said.
