Chronic patients get health care services at their doorsteps for free



SOLUKHUMBU: The Likhupike Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu district has started medical services for free to the chronic patients at their doorsteps.

The rural municipality began the move in line with its annual policy and programs.

Rural Municipality Chairperson Mina Karki Basnet said that chronic patients with poor economic status would get free medical service in relief.

According to Chairperson Karki, the health workers have been deployed in the patients’ doorsteps along with medicines for distribution, and the patients’ health examinations are also carried out.

The program was launched with an objective to save the lives of patients from their untimely demise for lack of medical services, Basnet shared.

Likewise, the patients themselves can visit the health care institutions in the rural municipality to receive medicines for free.
