UML’s Dhami becomes victorious in Darchula PA-1



DARCHULA: Bikram Singh Dhami, the common candidate of the Left-Democratic Alliance, has been elected the member of Province Assembly (PA) from Darchula’s PA constituency-1.

Dhami garnered 15,127 votes and his closest contender Hardev Joshi of the CPN (UML) polled 13,451. Similarly, Shankar Singh Dhami, an independent candidate, secured 1,418, the District Election Officer’s Office said.

There were 51,047 voters in Darchula PA constituency 1 and the voter turnout was 31,542. Of these, 1,134 votes were invalid.
