Two die and two more get injured in Darchula tractor mishap



DARCHULA: Two persons died and two others sustained injuries when a tractor skidded off the road in Darchula district on Saturday.

The identities of those dead and injured ones are yet to be identified, according to the District Police Office, Darchula.

The incident took place when a tractor with a registration number (Supa Pra 2001 Ta 1467) fell some 150 meters off the road at Ullani of Shaila Shikhar Municipality-6 in the district.

Police inspector Rajesh Shahi shared that four people were riding on the tractor during the time of accident. The injured ones are being treated at Gokuleshwor Hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, a person died in a motorcycle accident in Jhapa on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Hari Kumar Baskota, 45, of Birtamod-4 in Jhapa district, according to the Area Police Office, Pathari.

The accident took place when the motorcycle (Ko 37 Pa 3255) coming from the east to west lost its control at Jaya Chowk in Pathari Sanischare in the district.

The motorcyclist who was severely hurt in the incident breathed his last during treatment at Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Centre at Urlabari, Morang, police said.
