Nepal sees 634 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 634 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 343 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 291 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,949 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,757 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,192 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,221 active cases in the country as 417 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,994 to date.
