KATHMANDU: Tatopani Customs Office has collected Rs 3.42 billion revenue in the last fiscal year 2021/22. The revenue collection was double that of target.

Chief Customs Officer of Tatopani Customs Office, Narad Gautam, said revenue collection was increased by double in the last fiscal year despite various problems including coronavirus pandemic, landslide, flood and decrease in import of Chinese goods.

The office collected Rs 3.42 billion revenue against the target of Rs 1.46 billion, he shared. Gautam further said that revenue collection was better than the expectation due to various reasons including import of goods, adherence to health safety protocols and training to businessmen.

A target was set to collect Rs 4.50 billion in the fiscal year 2020/21, only Rs 1.02 billion was collected. Gautam added that a target has been set to collect Rs 4.63 billion in the current fiscal year.
