MoHP urges to keep precautions in view of COVID case spike



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged one and all to adopt precautionary measures and avoid crowd in view of the rise in COVID-19 cases.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari urged all to mandatorily wear mask and use sanitizer in crowded areas.

The Ministry has also urged all to compulsorily wear masks in government, non-government offices and the populated areas and asked the offices to arrange sanitizer at their entrance gates.

Likewise, the Ministry has called for all airports and public transport service providers including flight operators to make mask-wearing and sanitizer-use mandatory.

The Ministry has asked the public places including schools, universities, religious spots and commercial and recreation centres and stadium for mandatory use of masks.

The health facilities are asked to put necessary measures for pandemic control and treatment management.

Likewise, the ministry has directed the authorities concerned to effectively operate the anti-COVID vaccination programme and asked those unvaccinated to receive inoculation service.

The ministry has also asked the authorities to strengthen vigilance in all international flights and surface entry points and also conduct campaign for COVID-19 sample tests in crowded areas.
