3.7 million spent on convocation ceremony of Mid-West University

POKHARA: Mid-West University has made public expenditures for its second convocation ceremony.

The total Rs 3.7 million was spent on the ceremony organized on April 19, said the University.

Of the total expenditure, over Rs 1.3 was spent on transportation and hospitality to presenting guests, according to Dr Liladhar Tiwari, the university dean and coordinator of the convocation ceremony publicity committee.

Similarly, more than Rs 500,000 was spent on the ceremony management and operation.

The total 519 students graduated and 29 people from various walks of life were honoured with medals.

The convocation ceremony was participated by Education Minister and the University joint chancellor Devendra Paudel and the Novel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi among others.
