NC wins mayor and deputy mayor in Kanchanpur’s Punarwas



MAHENDRANAGAR: Toya Prasad Sharma of Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected as the mayor of Punarwas municipality in Kanchanpur.

He won by getting 10,006 votes. His nearest rival Padma Bahadur Pujara of the CPN-UML polled 4,674 votes.

Similarly, NC’s Bhuliya Kumari Rana has also won the post of deputy mayor. She won by securing 7,345 votes. Her closest rival, Dhokhe Rana of the CPN (Maoist Center) polled 5,492 votes.
