Lumbini Mayor Chaudhary joins DSP

KATHMANDU: Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality Mayor Manmohan Chaudhary has joined the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP).

Chaudhary, who had won the last election contesting as an independent, was in the erstwhile Rastriya Janata Party (RJP). As the RJP had boycotted the local elections, he had contested as an independent. In the recent past, he was in Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).

Chaudhary was inducted into the party by DSP leaders Rajendra Mahato and Mahanta Thakur in Kathmandu on Saturday.

He is preparing to run for mayor again in the upcoming local elections. After joining the DSP, he has also received a ticket from the party.
